Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
1. What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to all apps published under the YourTools brand at yourtools.cc, including YourAI, YourVideo, YourMic, YourPost, and any future apps we release. Each app operates independently; data handling details specific to each app are described below where relevant. As new apps are released, this policy will be updated to reflect any new data practices.
2. Information We Collect
When you purchase an app, Paddle processes your payment and may send us your email address, product, transaction identifier, and subscription or payment status. We use this information only to deliver the purchase, manage the subscription, prevent fraud, and provide support. YourTools does not receive or store your full payment card details.
We do not use advertising trackers or collect in-app usage analytics. Except where a feature described in this policy requires it, we do not collect:
- Your name or personal identity beyond your email
- Your precise location
- Usage data, telemetry, or analytics from any app
- Any information about other software running on your computer
3. License Verification
For apps with a license key system, the app sends your license key and a hardware identifier (Windows Machine GUID) to our server to verify your purchase. This check happens on first activation and periodically in the background. No other app or social-account data is sent as part of the license check. The Machine GUID is used solely to bind your license to your device and is never shared or used for any other purpose.
4. AI Apps (YourAI)
YourAI is powered by third-party AI providers. When you use YourAI, your voice or text input is sent to the underlying AI provider's API to generate a response. This is necessary for the app to function. Please review the privacy policy of the relevant AI provider for details on how your input data is handled on their end. YourTools does not store, log, or review your AI session content.
5. YourPost: Social Media Posting
YourPost is a Windows desktop app that lets users publish their own videos to connected social media accounts including TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. This section describes how YourPost handles data from those platforms.
Account connection: When you connect TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram, YourPost opens that platform's official OAuth authorization page in your browser. You sign in with the platform directly, and YourPost never sees your platform password. The YourTools OAuth service at api.yourtools.cc temporarily processes the authorization code, access and refresh tokens, and basic account details needed to finish login or refresh access. A pending login normally expires within 15 minutes. After login is completed or expires, the OAuth service does not keep the social access or refresh token. Tokens returned to the Windows app are encrypted locally using Windows DPAPI.
TikTok and YouTube publishing: Videos selected for TikTok are transferred directly from your device to the upload URL supplied by TikTok. Videos selected for YouTube are transferred directly to YouTube. YourTools does not receive or store those selected video files.
TikTok permissions: YourPost requests user.info.basic to display the connected account and video.publish to publish the video you choose. These permissions are not used for any other purpose.
Instagram publishing: Instagram requires a publicly reachable video URL so it can retrieve a Reel. YourPost therefore uploads a temporary copy of the selected Instagram video to api.yourtools.cc. The file is protected by an expiring signed URL, is used only for the publishing operation, and is deleted after publishing or automatically expires. The default temporary-media lifetime is approximately two hours.
YourPost accesses the following data from connected platforms:
- Account identifier, username, and profile picture, which are displayed in the app so you can see which account is connected
- Creator settings (e.g. available TikTok privacy levels), which are used to validate your chosen post settings before upload
YourPost does not collect or retrieve:
- View counts, follower counts, comments, or any feed content
- Your posting history
Captions, titles, post settings, and the selected video are used only to complete the post you request. For a scheduled post, the video path, text, settings, and chosen time stay on your computer until the scheduled upload starts. YourTools does not use this content for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
6. Data Storage
License tokens, app preferences, connected account details, encrypted social tokens, upload history, and scheduled post details are stored locally on your Windows device. Social access and refresh tokens are protected with Windows DPAPI encryption.
On our server, we keep the email address, purchase or subscription status, license record, and device identifier needed to provide the service. The OAuth service handles temporary login data as described above. Temporary Instagram media is retained only for the limited publishing period described above.
Our server and Cloudflare may temporarily process an IP address and basic request information to deliver the website and API, apply rate limits, prevent abuse, and protect the service. We do not use this information for advertising or user profiles. We do not sell personal data.
